General Facilities

Q: Is Pitstop Lodge suitable for families?

A: Yes, definitely

Q: How many persons can stay?

A: From 1 to 12.

Q: Are there barbecue facilities?

A: Pitstop Lodge has comfortable outdoor furniture and a BBQ for alfresco dining on the rear deck.

Q: Is there secure car parking?

A: We have undercover parking for 4 vehicles in the back yard.

Q: Is Pitstop Lodge Wheelchair friendly?

A: Unfortunately, we have 5 steps into the house, but once there, everything is on one level..

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: Smoking is permitted in the garden, ashtrays are provided. Please do not smoke inside your lodge and cottage.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Sorry, pets are not accepted at Pitstop Lodge. Husbands are OK.

Q: Does Pitstop Lodge accept credit cards?

A: Payments can be made securely online at the time of booking, direct deposit, or at reception by cash.


Q: Is there a DVD player in the lodge?

A: Yes, we have some DVD’s available or bring your favourites from home.

Q: Is there a CD player in the lodge?

A: Yes, bring your favourite CD’s.

Q: Is it possible to connect to internet in the lodge?

A: We have broadband ADSL2 WiFi (wireless access)and it is free for our guests.

Q: Is there a TV in the lodge?

A: Yes, the lodge and the cottage has High Definition television available. Local networks only.

Q: Does the lodge have an outdoor area?

A: There is a large rear deck to enjoy breakfast, and have a BBQ.

Q: Do you cater for special food needs?

A: We can cater for gluten free, vegetarian etc with prior notice.


Breakfast only is provided, continental breakfast is included in the tariff and cooked breakfast is available on request at $15 per person.

There are many restaurants, hotels and clubs within walking distance.

Arrival and Departure

Q: What time should I arrive at the lodge?

A: Check-in time is flexible, usually after 2pm.

Q: When is the departure time?
A: Again, check-out is flexible. Usually 10am, but if you need more time just ask.
